A Gift Guide for Homeschool Moms, Part 3

Christmas Gift Guide homeschool

It's that time of year again where I share my annual gift guide for homeschool moms, because I think every homeschool mom deserves to be treated and celebrated! Each year I try and find new things that I have loved and that I think you will too, so whether you're looking for some ideas for you or for a friend, I hope this inspires you. Check out Part 1 and Part 2 for more ideas!

Gifts for the Bookish Homeschool Mom

1. Reading Journal: This is such a special keepsake to give to the reader in your life. I love keeping track of the books I read and this is a special way to add in your thoughts and reflections!

2. Beautiful Copy of a Christmas Carol: What's better than a beautiful copy of a classic book? A beautiful, classic book that is Christmas themed! This was a special gift I gave to myself this year because I love the illustrations so much. My kids and I are really enjoying reading this version together!

3. Movie Tickets to See A Book Adaptation: There are so many movies out this Christmas that are based on books including, The Wild Robot, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Wicked, Small Things Like These and more. Some theaters in my area also run Christmas family specials where they replay holiday favorites that are always fun to see as a family.

4. Scratch-Off Book Chart: I love a good book list and the added scratch off element of this is just the cherry on top. This is a perfect gift for the mom who loves to read and wants to make it through all of the classics.

Gifts That Are "Just For Her"

5. Rowe-Casa: This year I have newly discovered Rowe-Casa and have loved everything I've purchased from them! My favorites have been the lymphatic cream, elderberry immune support syrup and the magnesium gel. (And I do have a code! You can use code LITTLEHOUSE20 for 20% off your order!)

6. Vitamin C Serum: You've probably seen me share this before, but that's because I absolutely love this Vitamin C Serum. I don't think my skin has ever looked or felt better and it feels like a little "treat-yourself" moment every time I apply it. I will probably use this product until the day I die, it's that good! (And one lasts me at least 6 months!)

7. DIY Home Manicure Nail Kit: For less than the cost of one gel manicure you can get this whole set. It love having my nails done and it's nice to have this at-home option.

8. Not Perfect Linen: I got my first things from Not Perfect Linen this year and love them so much! Since I am so tall, it's hard to find things that fit me the right way, but NPL let's you order your item customized to your measurements since they're handmade. Isn't that awesome? Buying for a friend? They also carry some beautiful aprons, tote bags and linens that are perfectly giftable too.

Gifts for Homeschool Mom Enrichment

9. Audiobook Subscription: I can't say enough about Everand (formerly Scribd) as a way to listen to audiobooks. I get to listen to all the books I want to without having to sit in line with my library for months at a time. I get so much enrichment from Everand. If you're an audiobook (or e-book reader) like me, a subscription is a great gift!

10. Commonplace Book: I've been trying to get better at keeping a commonplace book and this one is so pretty! It's a great way to keep all of those quotes, poems, ideas and lists in one place.

11. *+ Commonplace Quarterly Magazine: If you're a Charlotte Mason homeschool mom (or want to be) this maganize is such a great resource! The contributors write a lot of rich encouragement and deep dive into Charlotte Mason's ideas. You can purchase individual magazines or subscribe to upcoming editions! This year I've really gotten into reading old editions online.

12.*+ Well Lived by Sally Clarkson: One of my favorite books this year has been Well Lived by Sally Clarkson. Reading it feels like you're sitting down with Sally herself for a cup of tea and that is imparting all of her hard won life's lessons to you. It feels like a warm hug! It gave me a lot to consider and think over, and it wasn't long or hard to get through.

Gifts for the Homebody Mom

13. Multi-Media Audio Player: This is one of my favorite things I own. I find so many records, casssette tapes and CDs that align with books we're reading or music that enhance our homeschool and it's so wonderful to be able to have a way to listen to them. This makes our home so cozy with music playing all the time!

14. Slipper Boots: I know that slipper boots are all the rage, and these ones are super cozy, affordable and I love wearing them around the house.

15. A Beautiful Art Print: I love these from Lore Pemberton and just want to dive into everyone. I especially love the winter scenes that give that cozy vibe.

16.+Something Cozy from Kindred Print Co.: I have two shirts from this shop and love the quality and design. I wear them every time they're clean! This shop is quickly becoming one of my favorite small businesses! (You can use my code- LHLC20 for 20% off until the end of the year!)

Gifts for the Faith-Focused Mom

17. *Bible Recovered: Do you have a well-loved or family Bible that is worn down and needing some love? My favorite Bible had it's cover wearing off and I had Schaeffner Co. recover it and it could not be more beautiful. I got to pick everything about how I wanted it to look and every single day it still brings me joy! This would be a great idea if you wanted to design a special Bible to pass down to future generations.

18. *Lithos Kids Pilgrims Progress: This is a story we have loved reading together as a family multiple times. But I feel like a copy this beautiful is more for me than anything! I love this legacy edition!

19. *Daily Grace Co.: Daily Grace Co. has some really wonderful Bible studies, beautiful home-decor and great resources for you homeschool and family. My favorite right now is this year long study that helps you learn to study the Bible (and in January it will have a corresponding podcast too!).

20. *+ It is Finished Glass: I love this reminder! And there is something to drinking iced coffee out of a glass like this with a beautiful straw that just makes me feel fancy.

Gifts for the (Want-to-Be) Organized Homeschool Mom

21. Skylight Calendar: If you're struggling to stay organized, a Skylight calendar might be a fit! We use our for upcoming events and tracking chores too. They're really handy!

22. Minimal Mom's Decluttering Mentorship Group: Dawn, from the Minimal Mom, is a huge inspiration to me. Something about the way she explains managing your possessions really connects with me (maybe it's that she's a homeschool mom too)! If you're wanting to get your home in order, she has a mentorship group that is incredible. Let's be honest--her book decluttering session is probably worth a month's subscription just by itself!

23. Air Tags: If you're constantly misplacing important things like keys or your purse or your homeschool planner (like me!) these air tags are an inexpensive way to keep your things organized and in order!

24. Packable Snack Containers: Nothing makes me feel more disorganized than being out somewhere when my kids start to get hungry and crabby... and I forgot to pack snacks. These containers have saved my hide more times than I can count and I love that they're sealed tight enough to pack liquids in too. The handle makes it easy for taking on hikes, to co-op and to the park!

Gifts for the Maker Mom

25. Butter Crock: I've really gotten into making my own butter this year and this butter crock just makes me happy!

26. Cast Iron Dutch Oven: I've had a Dutch oven set for over 4 years now and I love them. I use them every single week (if not daily) to bake bread, make soups, casseroles, etc. I got mine from Costco (which sometimes they carry, sometimes they don't) but this is a similar one from Amazon.

27. +Lily & Thistle Course: If you want to grow in your watercolor skills, there are some really wonderful courses out there from Lily and Thistle! My girls especially love their paper dolls too!

28. Stainless Steel Bowls: I love this bowl set. It's easy to find uses for each of the sizes, they come with lids and they are grippy on the bottom so they don't slide around. I use them for just about everything!

Gifts that Fit Any Budget, For Any Homeschool Mom

And as I could say every year, the gift that is usually always welcome is the gift of help. There are many ways to offer help, whether that is hiring a cleaner, bringing over some freezer meals, purchasing a seasonal meal plan/shopping list guide, gifting an overnight away or just a simple offer of childcare or help. The gift of a helping hand can mean a lot!

I hope this has given you some ideas for gifts that are practical and fun, for yourself or the homeschooling mom in your life! Happy Homeschooling!
